I noted, and dog-eared, an paper about this in the most recent GSA Geology mag. I've not read it yet. Let you know when I do.

I could see a fast moving impact deposit acting like a turbidite, but I think those lower burns cliff x-beds are too big for that model.

Also, what kind of sed deposits would be left by water rushing back into a crater?
