re:Laser shots to the Moon
The laser reflectors left by several Apollo crews and Lunokhods have shown the Earth-Moon distance is increasing by 3.8 cm every year. One day, Earth and Moon would be facing each other (like Pluto and Charon) but that will be long after the Sun has become a white dwarf.
