It wasn't enlightening or special, but also wasn't particularly hurtful either.
I think he feels the design of Spaceship One would be come unstable if it lost a wing. I don't know of any aircraft where the removal of part of the flight necessary hardware doesn't cause failure. So duh was just about right for an answer from him.
