There will be higher frequency of storms and more large storms than in the past years.
There will be higher frequency of, and more severe, earth quakes than in the past years.
There will be more record high AND low temperatures with shorter periods between the recorded high and low readings.
There will be a decrease in the size of the polar ice caps, but the ocean water levels will not increase significantly.
Many inland lakes will decrease in size or disappear completely.
An increasing percentage of people will develop skin cancer and cataracts.

I have explained the reasoning behind these predictions over the years, so there is no reason to go into that right now. (That way RL can relax ;-)

Some of the above effects will take more than a year before becoming very severe, so you may HAVE A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.
