How many here think the Japanese Lunar-A project is "dead"?

It's been over 10 years since the Japanese space agency proposed
the Lunar-A penetrator probe mission.
Delay has come upon delay upon delay, until....there's no more word about its fate.

You think the Japanese aretrying to save face with a project that they have quietly
shelved?

Do you think they have quietly killed the project?

Do you think there is any future in interplanetary penetrator-probe missions,
considering the technology may not be advanced enough to make it feasible?

Remember DS2?

Remember a penetrator-probe would be required to strike the moon at terrific velocity and G-forces....I don't think the technology to do it is there.
