Need Sattellite Images of local area

Here in the NYC metro area, we have had some MAJOR FLOODING of our neighbourhood since the local interstate turnpike road was widened and a massive parking lot was installed for a rest area. I would like to know , using the vast resources of this forum, of what satellite images are availabe to the general public and to our local congressman and senators. No DOD stuff here, just plain and simple
shots taken over the last 10-15 yrs or so, up to current times to show developments and roads, etc.
And what would be the best resolution of these images? 3-4 meters?
Since our group feels the wetlands were encroached upon by this massive landfill project, what would be our recourse to use space imagery to our advantage? Any help out there?
