"WASHINGTON - A Democratic congressman’s remarks about the military are damaging to troop morale and to the Army’s efforts to rebound from a recruiting slump, the nation’s top general said Thursday."

Ya gotta love 'em. Point out their lives are being wasted, sacrificed to Bush's ego and Cheney's greed, AND THEY SAY IT HURTS MORALE. And recruitment.

Who wants to be the last to die for Iraqi "democracy" and "freedom"? Or because Bush didn't like Saddam or Cheney does like oil?

I would say that morale would be honestly reflecting the plight of those under Rumsfeld's command.
