...where does it say in that article that Nobel Laureate Dr. Joseph E. Stiglitz is a "Democrat?"

This is simply a study produced by a highly regarded economist who has appropriately disclosed all the variables his study considered. The gist of his work here is that the cost of war is far higher than what we simply put into the defense department's budget.

Especially noteworthy is this statistic: "The study includes the cost of disability payments and health care for the over 16,000 injured military personnel -- one-fifth of whom have serious brain or spinal injuries." Think about it...in addition to the 2,200 dead we can count an additional 3,000+ who are so injured they can no longer function without permanent hospital or hospice care. One wonders if Bill Frist isn't willing to publically diagnose the maladies of these unfortunates by watching a three minute viseo.
