A friend of mine took this with Mars just below the Moon.
He used the Canon EOS 300D and a 200 mm zoom
The Canon can show lots of details on the Moon and still have Mars very visible. My Sony needed a 2 second exposure to show the Pleiades but it then overexposed the Moon.
I wanted to go to our astronomy club tonight for a bit more explanation about what the Canon can do but the highway around Brussels was completely saturated with trafic because of works and I had to return back home early.
