I took a test spin in a used Quattroporte once. The four door idea appealed to me. At the same time I looked at the wedge-shaped four door Aston Martin Lagonda. Both just were a bit too cramped for my tastes. Nice finish in both, though I sort of liked the 'early digital' gimmickry of the Lagonda. Neither were really sports cars, but who races these things anyway?
So how well did the Maserati hold up?
I always admired the lines of the Merak, but I don't even know if they imported any of those legally that met the US specifications or if the few ones I saw cruising around La Jolla were all grey-market cars driven surreptitiously on quick jaunts. I remember the Biturbo from the early eighties, but they always seemed like design compromises.

Quattroporte? Merak? Mangusta?

- Venezuela now has a coffee shortage
- What a pathetic gloat.
- re: In response, President Chávez has said that he might be forced to nationalise the coffee industry
- but like in the song, "they got a lot of coffee in Brazil"...

- BTW, this was pretty much what the idiots did with energy "deregulation" in California.
