States rights only when convenient
Nothing better exposes the hypocrisy of the Right than its insincere protestations of support for Federalism and states' rights, which evaporates like the morning mist whenever they feel like using Federal power to advance their ideology and religious beliefs.
There's a footnote to their principle of minimum government: "*--By which we mean, keep government out of the boardroom but in the bedroom and hospital room." All Rightists really mean is that they want their opponents to have less Federal power so that they can have more.
