Space/Science » in reply to Gone for Pluto!

New Horizons is a bad name for the spacecraft.

The spacecraft should be redidicated and given the name "TOMBAUGH",
after the late Clyde Tombaugh, the astronomer who discovered
Pluto.
Didn't a spacecraft to Venus get the name MAGELLAN?
Didn't a spacecraft to Jupiter get the name GALILEO?
Well then?...Why not honor Clyde?

At least NASA had the presence of mind to put the ashes of Clyde Tombaugh onboard the spacecraft.
That will make his cremated remains the first human remains to journey to the stars.
Anyone want to ditto my statement?
