Stardust... and water?
You know, in 2004 I asked Tom Duxbury (JPL, Stardust Project Manager) if there was any chance of the Stardust mission retrieving any volatiles. His answer was that the collection equipment was not designed to do so (which I already knew). Maybe my question was not as stupid as he implied. [not a close personal friend whose name I shamelessly drop: I attended a JPL lecture on the Stardus mission]
"We don't know yet ... if we have some cometary water in some form preserved for analysis here," Zolensky added.
