Current Events » in reply to I mis-spoke: I used the word "should" in my attempt to define more clearly, too.

"Man, I would hate to be a pollster calling your house."

Believe me, you're right about that.

I have been polled a few times, and I don't let them get away with the usual asinine leading questions. Every poll I have ever taken on the phone has been obviously engineered to come up with a certain result.

I try to be humorous about it, and most pollsters, who are just working folks and not the ones who wrote the poll, leave laughing, even if they don't have all the answers they needed.

You did word the question poorly, and I also read "I am disappointed we have not" as being disappointed that we haven't been "attempting to capture and/or kill OBL." It's likely from your further explanation that you could have meant "disappointed we have not succeeded."

I noticed I wasn't the only one to interpret your question that way, i.e. as an implication that the U.S. has called off the search.

Osama has not been taken off any wanted list, and as far as I know, the efforts to get him have never slackened. His location in non-cooperative territory makes this difficult. Most people place him in Pakistan's outer reaches, or even in the border areas of the nations to the north. Some think he's in Iran.
