Finally! The V-22 Osprey is now in full-scale production.

The V-22 Osprey had its design start during the Reagan years,
20 plus years later, with successful "operational evaluations" having
just come to an end for the Osprey, in the service of the USMC,
Bell Corp and its aerospace partner have begun full-scale
production of the Osprey for the Marines and US Navy.
{This is reported in the January/02/06 issue of Aviation Week magazine}

FINALLY!!!
Of course if the Osprey is needed for some hostage-rescue operation, etc,
the only American special forces to have access to it will be navy SEALS for the time being.

And I don't think civilian aerospace users will be keen on a civilianized version of
the Osprey because of the years and decades of delay of introduction.
