re: Pretty poor test. Many of the questions are meaningless.

Most excellent test.

Item #1 Liked numbers simply have square roots with whole numbers.

Item #7 Each number shown below follows a certain rule. Figure out the rule and fill in the missing number.
January 20
April 10
May 5
November 15
July ?

This one. I'm still working on. Hmmmm.

Item #10 If a circle is one, how many is an octagon?
2 4 6 8 12

I think the obvious answer is 8.

Item #14 The distance between the numbers increases in a logical proportion as the numbers increase.

Given: 1 8 27 (42, 64, 81, 96) 125 216

The distance from 27 to 64 is 37 and from 64 to 125 is 61. Thus the distances between all the numbers is: 7, 19, 37, 61, 91. Any other numbers used other than 64 will give an increase in distance between the numbers that is out of proportion with the increasing numbers.

To simplify it, if the number 42 was used, the distances would not increase properly. >> 7, 19, 15, 83, 91.

And if 81 was used, >> 7, 19, 54, 44, 91.

The distances of both 15 and 44 are out of sync with the increasing values.

Item #25 The odd numbered values (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) increase by 2 whereas the even numbered values (10, 9, 8, 7, 6) decrease by 1.
The next two numbers should be 11 and 5.

Item #28 Which number comes next in this series of numbers?
2 3 5 7 11 13 ?

This is just a list of prime numbers.

Item #29 Which letter comes next in this series of letters?
B A C B D C E D F ?

The odd spaced letters increase from the letter B upward. The even spaced letters increase starting with A.

Good Test.
