It was actually two Brits, but...
If you read the article, you will see it also refers to another British scientist, Dr. Lovelock of Gaia fame (or infamy, depending on your viewpoint), who also recently declared that Humanity Is Doomed (it was even linked in HZ).
My title was meant as a subtle humor on the fact that two British scientists were warning us on the same subject around the same time and not a commentary on the British as a whole; but as often happens with impersonal PC screens and technology, the subtley gets lost. So my apologies for this and for anyone else who may have been unintentionally offended.
