Off Topic » in reply to Relating to the 'Mensa test' below- What IS creativity?

Probably not measureable using a multiple-choice test.

Presuming we're talking about human beings here?

Our strengths, as a species, are in pattern recognition and the bicameral nature of our brains.

Creativity sees patterns that are not obvious.

Creativity allows the two halves of the brain to think about things each in its own way, and then puts the observations together to form a new image of the world.

Creativity works around a set of skills that is damaged or missing to find other ways of filling in the blank spaces.

Creativity recognizes the absurd as just one more image in the funhouse mirror we call reality.

Creativity can step outside of itself to experience, not just imagine, another point of view.

Creativity laughs at its own ego.
