from "The Ransom of Red Chief" -- O.Henry
"It looked like a good thing: but wait till I tell you. We were down South, in Alabama -- Bill Driscoll and myself -- when this kidnapping idea struck us. It was, as Bill afterward expressed it, "during a moment of temporary mental apparition"; but we didn't find that out till late."
Too bad a lot of innocent people will be needlessly hurt, because it looks like this affair is going to be long remembered as one of the most spectacular and hilarious Republican dill-stomps since the 2012 GOP Presidential Primary Debates.
I really like the way they take turns coming here to the ZONE to sternly explain to us what is REALLY going on. It sounds like they've almost managed to convince themselves.
As for those MSM polls; remember how badly they miscalled the last Presidential election? Does anybody know if Nate Silver is monitoring this fiasco?
