Used to have spectacular stories along the lines of a kid killing his grandmother. Would go on and on and on describing the killing, and then pause dramatically, and briefly give a reason -
"Because she served him oatmeal for breakfast." Long pause, and he'd end
"Good Day". And the program would end.
What he'd leave out is that the kid got oatmeal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, was beaten regularly no matter what, sexually abused by his grandfather and uncles, etc. and so on.
I just made that up, AND it's kinda like the cartoon riots. There's a lot more hostility there than meets the eye (cartoons). Might involve Muslims getting beaten up for a long, long time, including the US installing the SAVAK, invading Iraq, supporting the Palestinian genocide, and so on.
It fails to make sense only when there isn't enough information. And "making sense" doesn't mean one has to agree with it.
