Official: Bush authorized spying multiple times.
"Senior intelligence officer says president personally gave NSA permission." (Gave permission? Gave permission! They were banging on the doors of the White House, begging, pleading to spy on their fellow Merkans. Everyone knows the NSA has been frustrated by laws, decency, Constitutional rights for a long, long time. Fettered. Handcuffed.)
Anyway, it occurs to me that another Republican <a href=http://www.watergate.info/">President was also caught with his ear to the hole spying for, read it and weep, domestic political reasons. Yes, political.
What does anyone want to bet that GWB is spying on al-Democrats, al-Gore, al-Hillary, al-Reid, al-etc., not for anti-terrorist reasons, but for domestic political reasons.
Because he doesn't have to worry about having honest people, read "Democrats", controlling one of the Houses of Congress and investigating, the way the other Republican spy did.
History does repeat itself. Iraq - Vietnam. Bush - Nixon. Cheney - Agnew.
It just gets worse.
Arf
Deja vu. Bush - Nixon, and spying.
