Beliefs.

It's beliefs we're talking about. Concepts that are much larger than the individual and much larger than me or any single man or woman.

Freedom.

Freedom for women. Freedom of expression. Freedom from repression

Equality.

Equal rights for all men and women under the law regardless of their beliefs, sexual preferences or social standing.

Your throwing 'advanced weapons' out as some sort of defense of Islam is ineffective. It's the beliefs of the cultures that are advanced - not the technology.

Poland has no nuclear weapons, yet it's culture is in advance of all Muslim nations.

It's beliefs and concepts that make advancement. New technologies are propagated by educated free people. The renaissance in Europe illustrated that as well as the past 150 years of American ingenuity, which was made manifest by people from nations all over the earth, but who were free to pursue without prejudice over here.

Take away our nuclear weapons and we're still FAR in advance of Islamic nations. Islam is a throwback to another period and hasn't kept up with the minds of free people.

You still talk as if it is Islam that is being repressed, when exactly the opposite is true. Islam, it's beliefs and codes when adhered to literally as found in the Koran is the oppressor of people in the nations that adopt and practice it.

It literally, and figuratively, has the masses on their knees and subjugated.

Primitive beliefs are the ultimate 'weapon' and cause the most suffering.
