Given we're on a foreign - nay ALIEN - planet with different atmosphere, fluids, and outcomes of the same basic physics. It still does look most like aeolian (wind blown) deposits on Earth.
Don't depend on it though. We know so little about Mars.
(I think you're right, but also want to encourage healthy scepticism...)
