None of these people were involved with 9-11.
The damage to the US is incredible. To the countries soul, to it's image. Never again can we claim to be the good guys, leaders in Human Rights, a country of laws.
As for making the country safer - this kind of thing seems to create people who hate the US.
If they didn't before, they do now. And their friends and relatives.
