The Daddy Warbucks crowd never wanted a credit crisis, or a long term shutdown.
They may be ideologues, but unlike the TParty rabble they're inciting to mutiny, they are real businessmen who don't learn their economics from Ayn Rand.
Their miscalculation came when they felt it would never come to this. They figured wimpy, cowardly Liberal Obama would fold and they would get everything they wanted without having to risk their jive ass.
Or maybe they miscalculated just how batshit crazy the brownshirts they were bankrolling actually were.
