Where did Bowser say it penetrated to his heart? Jack's link indicated that, but B never said it.
Jack's link also errs in assuming that the pellet would have shown up as being in the heart on initial x-rays, but of course if it was travelling through a vein it could take a while to get there. I knew someone who sat on a small knitting needle without realizing it (now that makes me squirm, but it's true), she didn't know anything (except that a needle was missing) until it emerged weeks later from the skin at the front of her abdomen.
At 30 yards, though, I'd be surprised that a 28 ga 7-1/2 pellet would penetrate skin and a large enough vein, though seniors often do have thin skin.
