The lengths some conservatives will go to defend their IDEALOGY. It's like a disease.
Unable to sleep early this morning, I caught a Larry King interview with Bob Woodword and Carl Bernstein (a very interesting mix by the way).
They were speaking about the role journalism played in bringing Nixon's illegalities to the people, and how we had a thorough investigative Congress back then, one that threw everything into the spotlight.
And how SEVERAL investigations into the illegalities of THIS administration have wimped out simply because it is Republican congress and that they are defending their "idealogy" more.
Woodward and Berstein clearly illustrated ALL of this administrations' complete and utter failures and spoke about the role of journalists play in keeping our countries' leaders honest......while the second debut of the movie "All the President's Men" is being re-released on DVD after 30 years the day after "President's Day".
Larry King seemed to go along with their assertions until he got a dirty dig on Woodward, holding up his hands and pointing at him claiming Woodward "got rich" from all of this. I thought Larry King was in very poor taste and acting from a place of cornered outrage It was a partisan attack and he caught Woodward off guard for several minutes. I thought it was grossly unfair and thought about it much later (like when I got up). That's a conservative with a set idealogy for you.
Instead of addressing the issues, you attack the messenger.
