US unprepared for Katrina: report
According to each and every one of our neocons, the Feds did as much as could be done, there were no mistakes, and it was the local people who fouled up.
And along comes Chertoff. But what does he know? I mean compared to "our" neocons.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - "Federal emergency agencies were unprepared for the catastrophe of Hurricane Katrina and quicker involvement by President George W. Bush might have improved their response, said a harsh congressional report written by Republicans and released on Wednesday.
"Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff acknowledged that his department was overwhelmed by the magnitude of the storm when it hit August 29 but said it was wrong to suggest he and Bush were unresponsive."
Would think they need to get their butts back there and clear the record.
OR, admit they were wrong.
Heh, heh. Hah, hah, hah. Chuckle, chuckle, sob.
Arf
Interestingly enough, according to "our" neocons, Chertoff is lying.
