:)
I live in a State that is completely bummed out by the predictions of an even more active storm season this year.
Those of us that endured Katrina in Alabama are completely happy with the reaction and follow through of the various agencies. I can't speak for the more devastated areas of Mississippi and LA but I have worked with some Ins adjusters that have served those areas and the general tone of the victims is what you would expect from someone that has lost their home, irritable and impatient.
However timely the aid was provided (in the opinions of those who live on the other side of the continent), most of those affected are getting everything their heart desires. The checkbook is open and the money is flowing freely. There is not a liberal administration that ever existed that has showered more money on victims.
Anyone that thinks Katrina is going to be a huge campaign issue at the grassroots for either party is deluded. Those that don't like Bush and the GOP still don't and those that voted GOP in 04 will not be swayed by this issue. Come on down and get on a soap box. You will be cheered or pelted with rotten tomatos, maybe both depending on to whom you are speaking.
Will we have troops in Syria or Iran by 08? I certainly hope not but if we do it will be with your personal approval, I suspect.
Will there be additional spying? I hope so and I hope they spy on you but do not detain you. ;)
As I have said over and over, the government spys on who they wish and when they wish. They always have and always will.
