Reruns of Monty Python also return to PBS this April! Anyone else
remember when they first came to American shores via PBS in 1975?

The first time I ever saw MP and the Holy Grail was when my local
PBS station had it on one late evening in 1975. Uncut, as it were.

They also foolishly had a pledge drive going on at the same time,
which they interrupted MPatHG with right in the middle of the film!

The woman hosting the pledge drive kept asking viewers to only
call the station if they were making pledges and to please stop
calling to tell her to get off the air and put HG back on!
