actually this Democrat is repulsed by Republicans shooting each other. I had previously thought Cheney a chicken-hawk, but now I have had a demonstration that he is truly a dangerous person.
Apparently "range safety" is only a Democratic policy and doesn't apply to Republicans. I have never shot one of my hunting companions but I do confess of using one of them as our Italian retriever to pick up the birds we had shot.
Libertarians, however, should take the position that if Republicans wish to shoot each other, it should be their individual right to do so and it is perfectly acceptable if the victim doesn't object--as in this case.
Perhaps because I was out of the country when this shooting happened, I missed seeing any reportage on who payed the hospital bills and doctor's fees? Does make me curious.
