re: He's Welcome In Pakistan
...Bin Laden is not considered to be on the run, but well protected by friends who are making his life as comfortable as possible.
After all, his number two, the Egyptian doctor Ayman al-Zawahiri, appears to have a busy social calendar in Pakistan's Pashtun belt. U.S. missiles narrowly missed him at a dinner party held in his honor on Jan. 13.
Narrowly missed by missiles? Apparently the author has a somewhat different definition of "comfortable life" than I do. If bin Laden isn't "on the run" let him show up in the daylight sometime.
Of course, in your dream world somehow the mighty Al Gore would have deployed hundreds of thousands of troops into Afghanistan to sweep the nation clean of terrorists before any of them could get to Pakistan. It's easy living over in that universe where nothing bad could ever happen like it does here.
