Was it better under Saddam just because we did not see or hear about the 10s of thousands he had murdered? At least now they have a chance to rule themselves in a democracy.

Yes, it sucks they are still getting killed. I hate seeing it and didn't think it would go on this long. But it is not the average Iraqi citizen doing these killings. It is Al Qaeda terrorist and Saddam loyalist doing it. Most Iraqis want to be free.

Unfortunately the fight for freedom is a bloody one. This was true in our own history.

Is it not better to fight and die for freedom than to live as slaves?

Lets stand behind the Iraqis and help them win their freedom. Once they can stand on their own two feet, we can leave and they can rule themselves.
