Why couldn't Conrad simply end his career playing James West? For some reason, either through the director or simply the great script, Conrad came off as intelligent and a good actor. Unfortunately, we got to see his true abilities in the poorly constructed "Black Sheep Squadron" playing Boyington.

I could care less what Michele Malkin thinks or posts about any issue. That's a woman with perpetual PMS and a major chip on her shoulder. She's also a worse actor than Robert Conrad. In some ways I agree with the students that we can celebrate a person's bravery and dedication to their country without emphasizing how many kills they had. I'm sure, if Boyington had an ounce of humanity, those kills caused him grief. If not, maybe the tribute should go to someone with a heart and conscience.
