The blogosphere and others ripped the AP about forty new ones on this latest lame meme. It seems to have gotten a response.

Either the original writers were just stupid, or they knew damn well they were creating a false impression by "paraphrasing" the quotes to replace "overtopping" references with "breaching."

The only thing remaining is to see, like the Cheney shooting, how much longer the dinosaur of the media will stagger on with this before the information gets from its head end down to its legs. Any bets on Time and Newsweek "Bush Video" cover stories next week?
