Being a leader by example, by fairness and stability is one thing.

Being a leader by aggression, intimidation, co-ercion and by throwing out long held rules is seen somewhat like a bully dictatorship (which, of course is what we are claiming to clean up in the world).

You can't have it both ways. Eventually people rise up against oppression.
