Did Mars Odyssey go through this?
I don't recall Mars Odyssey being given such a dramatic entrance
to Mars by the media as they are doing now - but then again, it
arrived just one month after 9-11-2001, so likely the Galactic Ghoul
didn't seem quite as threatening as some more terrestrial ghouls.
In fact, I wonder how many people even know how many functioning
Mars orbiters there are right now.
