Veto all the spending bills unless they put the US on the road to a balanced budget by the year 2008.

Bush needs to use his low poll numbers to his advantage...Give the Republicans (and even Democrats) in Congress the opportunity to run against Bush. Threaten to close down the government. Then cut the government to the bone. Tough love. No more pork.

Force congress to vote for or against a balanced budget.

Shut down the drunken spending spree.

What would congress do next? Would they try to cut-off funding for the military? It would be fun to find out how addicted they really are to spending.
