George Bush's plan to send Americans back to the moon
may involve a landing on the farside, so indicates
a Drudge Report bulletin.
For this thread/post I'll ignore the fact that a pair of special lunar comsats will have
to be placed either in libration [Lagrange] points near and beyond the moon,
or in 29.53 day long lunar-stationary orbit along its orbital path,
so the farside astronauts could communicate directly and immediately with Houston.
I'd prefer instead to ask this question: Where on the farside of the moon should the astronauts
land?
(1) Crater Tsiolkovsky?
(2) Crater Van de Graaff?
I'd prefer that they land in Crater Van de Graaff which has a surface radiation
anomaly at some location within the crater.
The same crater also has an magnetic anomaly.
I want to know why.
Drudge Report indicates a possible landing on the lunar farside.
