I disagree
Sapiens wiped out competing species like the neanderthals for basic survival reasons but also because prejudice against those who are "different" was an instinct way back before recorded history. I believe the end of all the other hominids that lived in the same time frame as homo sapiens was at least in part a deliberate, if not well planned, extermination.
The exception would of course be the recent discovery of Hobbits!
