No... I can honestly say that day and the next are burned in my mind like no others... They are unforgettable. It is too soon to be exploiting those events.
I was awoken with a phone call early on 9-11 (I was living in California at the time) and told about 2 planes crashing into the wtc... they told me it looked like terrorism... I turned on the TV and watched the dreadful aftermath...
I remember when the first tower fell, I wondered "Why is the camera panning up?" then I realized that the camera was not moving- the tower was collapsing...
I watched the entire tragedy, finally I felt especially obligated to go to my work at Sandia Ntl Lab. I got on my bicycle and rode the 10 minutes to the lab- it was in lockdown and I was turned away at the gate. I went back home and watched the aftermath.
I was allowed back at work the next day- I remember the anger of my co-workers that they had not been allowed to work on 9-11, they wanted to be there to help, to do SOMETHING... (Not exactly hubris, these people were the best in the world at what they did and I would select them for any team for ANY purpose- One of the world experts on Bin Laden worked at the lab)...
I very nearly changed my career path because of that day, I was urged to work on a bio-chem weapon detector rather than leave the lab.... I honestly thought about it, I felt a strong urge to do it out of patriotism... In the end I said no... I could not work on something that I would pray would never be used... Something I could never talk about. I never want to work on anything that requires a security clearance.
I feel it is wrong to exploit that day for entertainment, many good people died and many relatives are still suffering. It is too soon, and honestly I doubt anyone has forgotten that day... I haven't.

"It seems a lot of people have forgotten or want to forget the events of that day. "
