California use to have some of the best schools in the country, now they rank close to last. The same applies to most of the states in the American SW. Inceased tax burdens, higher crime rates, lower standards of living, increased levels of disease, and a whole assortment of other ills. Too bad most of our politicians seem to be more concerned with creating a large pool of potential voters than with doing their duty and serving the betterment of the USA.
