Sort of reminds me of the literature paper I wrote where I said..."Let us look at the works of literature that are 'deconstructed' and those that made it through the literary bowels intact..." The teacher LOVED deconstructing great literature- I pointed out that while she seemed to find more phallic symbols than you could shake a stick at in the works of Nathanial Hawthorne she never mentioned the repeated references to uncircumcised penises in the writings of a former slave... I called 'Deconstuctionism' an intellectual case of 'The Emporer's New Clothes'. I opened the paper with a proof that Edgar Allen Poe was a transvestite... ('Madeline Usher' is an anagram of 'Dame rules in he') she LOVED my analysis up to the point where I called it the crap it was...

It was the only F I ever got, but she had to take it back.... she made the mistake of admitting my paper was very well written, so I told her that she WOULD give me a better grade or I would take it up with the head of the department and start a movement in the school paper... (I really did not give a damn, I had already been accepted to grad school)... she made me a deal and said that I could rewrite my paper and she would give me a better grade. I wrote a stronger critique of Deconstructionism and essentially told her that she would give me at least a B- and she would be happy with it, or I would raise holy hell....

:) She gave me a B-... she was batshit insane, but she knew I WOULD make her life hell if she tried to prevent my graduation...

It was some of the best fun I ever had in school... she never had a chance....
