Removed "Space Shuttle Struck by Megalightning?" by Eric--copyright problems
This post had two problems with copyrights.
The first was fairly ordinary: The post reproduced an image and all of the significant text accompanying it. There was a link to the source, but nothing to indicate that the words and picture weren't Eric's. It's customary to put quotes either in <blockquote> tags or in italics, and to provide a citation (link to the source) that more clearly identifies it.
The second problem is rare almost to the point of novelty. The page the material was taken from says this about the picture:
Shortly after we posted the story, the amateur astronomer who had taken the picture contacted us. He insisted that we remove the photograph. So we did.
Now we are returning the image to our published files because it is not in the public interest that the image be ignored or forgotten--the fate of so many uncomfortable images in the space sciences. Perhaps, in the end, the issue of public interest will have to be resolved by a court, and if we are instructed by a court to remove the photograph we will do so.

I want no part of that dispute. They admit to deliberate copyright infringement in the face of a complaint from the photographer, and dare him to sue. Gimme a break. That's not the HabitableZone's fight.
