The Capture Theory has no support, :) I have seen accretion disks in a few solar systems...

The fact is that there is NO convincing evidence against the accretion disk theory... did gravitational effects from near-by stars play a part in our solar system's formation? Maybe, I can accept that with no issues- so no problem there....

It is the assumption that only a rare near collission could create our planets that bugs me....

See, I have seen Dr. Ireland's work presented as 'proof' of the nonsense such as the sun spits out the planets (Velikovski style) , and here I have seen the claim his work supports other silly nonsense- he NEVER made such claims in his paper... WHY should anyone pervert his data like that? Sorry his work, while interesting and useful, does NOT support your personal fantasy....

He does prove that more study is needed.... Not a bad position to hold....
