Otherwise Spudis' statement that Mars is a bridge to far is also BS AKA a non sequitur.

The radiation (primary and more so secondary) and dust are currently show stoppers for the Moon and possibly for Mars if you want the people who go to be well on return.

Telepresence is the answer for right now for the Moon.
