Earth is home to you because you've lived here all your life.
But to the next generation of colonists, Mars or the planetoids or
the comet belts will be home to them. They will have no reason
to go to Earth except as visitors.
And do not assume that every first-time astronaut is going to want
to come back to Earth, either. If you literally had a whole world to
explore and live on, what would you do?
Yes, colonization and exploration are freedom. Now don't tell the
governments or they'll ban all spaceflight.
