Some may interpret this as antiBush; some may interpret this as proBush.
It really doesn't matter.
I feel sorry for him.
He has some important decision to make [about Iran] that will the troubles
in Iraq pale by comparison.
There's a wise saying: If you start something, know how to finish it.
I don't think George realizes that attacking Iran may only unite moderate and radical
muslims against him, against Israel, and against America.
He may do something by unintentition that history never records:
Uniting the Shites, Sunnis, and Wahabists against him
I'm talking tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions of people, folks!
I work with muslims where I work...NOt surprising, there are over 500 employees
where I work.
The muslims, and nonmuslim antiAmericans [there's at least one Al Qaeda sympathizer among them]
among whom I work, and they deplore the idea that Bush will attack Iran.
Well then?...
Bush has no options left: Let Israel do it, or let America do it.
Problem is? He's telegraphed his moves to Iran.
Israel didn't let Saddam know they were coming when they attack the Osirik nuclear reactor in 1981.
Look a the calendar!.... May, 25th, 2006 is a "moonless night", [formerly] perfect attack weather for B2 bombers
with their deep-penetrator nukes or blockbusters.
The Iranian know it, too.
They don't seem too worried.
But Bush has no choice....He has to give the word "go", even if it means losing
one or two B2 bombers and having their crews taken POW's.
Imagine yellow ribbons on the TV news for the next few years?
Worse: What about broken undetonated nukes scattered over part of the Iranian desert; a "broken arrow" incident
with terrible repercussions in the future.
Don't be surprised if the Iranians ILLUMINATE known 'potential targets' to silhouette B2 bombers
for patrolling Iranian night fighters. A SILHOUETTED "B2 bomber" is a sitting duck for nearby supersonic
night fighters.
Of course, the Iranians could do better still if the Russians supply them with starlight ampifying
night-vision goggles for pilots, ground spotters and AA crewmen.
The B2 bomber, pride of the USAF, may have finally [proverbially speaking] been exposed to its 'superman kryptonite.'
Does George Bush have any worthwhile alternatives?....
I leave that to you to surmise.
An editorial: I don't want to be in George Bush's shoes.
