Statistics Canada --- Religiosity Index
source: Statistics Canada
Canadian statistics show that people less likely to be religious are those who were born in Canada, those whose parents had different religious beliefs, and those whose parents were not religious. They also show that religion in general is on the decline in Canada, except among 1st generation immigrants, among which south asians are most likely to be strongly religious. Coincidentally, South Asian religious violence is often in the news.
