You bringing up the subject eases my reticence to do so. I would much rather *add to* a conversation that I consider intrinsic to me than start the topic.
I grow quieter these days, and I do not enjoy sharing them much anymore because they are mine alone. I do not expect anyone to share what I hold dear. I don't want anyone to live any kind of truth other than what they have found on their own volition.
BTW, I was led to read a book, and I say led, because I have owned this paperback for well over twenty years and never opened a page of it until two weeks ago. Although I abhore labels I have testified it helps one narrow down the thought processes of another. The book defines Agnostic Christians. This is me.
For awhile I even doubted the existence of Jesus. I always believed in God. But I have come to realize there was a Christ. His message is lost on the obsession of translating and understanding the Bible.
The Bible I suppose is a very good book. I have never read it because, like Shakespeare, I find it most difficult to comprehend.
I have had to rely on my own need to become an instrument of peace to find out what is really important for my legacy to prevail.
This book helps.
I slightly digress.
I have not even entertained the thought of animals and insects as reincarnated souls. I feel animals are a test to our compassion here on earth. Insects?... biologically, we need them for our Mother Nature.
They are a part of the Universe, so they are a part of God.(my version)
I have very deep beliefs on this subject, but I think the main reason for my reply to your thoughtfulness is to confirm someone is at least willing to consider reincarnation.
That alone is enough for me.
